TO OUR VALUED KEMPER TREE CARE CUSTOMERS Now is the time to start planning for the care of your trees. Kemper Tree Care knows that timing is critical in most cases. Pests such as aphids, scale, Elm leaf beetles, Eucalyptus psyllids, lace bugs, Chinese Hackberry aphids, and whiteflies can be treated with merit soil injections, which works systemically to aid in control of these pests, however this treatment should be done soon to be effective in time for spring. If Oak worms are a nuisance for you, Kemper Tree Care offers several options for control. Those of you blessed with Olive trees and the olives that come with them may wish to limit your crop by having a fruit eliminator applied. Kemper Tree Care offers this service and average control can be anticipated at 50% to 80%. This service is one of the most timing critical, so please call Kemper Tree Care early for best results. In some cases, Liquidambar seed pods and ornamental fruit such as Pears and Plums can be treated; however the individual tree must be evaluated by a Kemper Tree Care certified arborist in order to assess possible side effects on other plants in your landscape. Leaf diseases such as Sycamore and Ash anthracnose, Pear leaf spot, leaf curl, and other fungal afflictions can be treated by Kemper Tree Care with accurately timed fungicide sprays beginning in EARLY SPRING, so act now! Spider mites have also been a headache as many of you know, and treatments will commence normally in July. If we do not experience colder temperatures before spring, it may become necessary to treat early. Mites require two to three spray applications for the best control. Oak and Pine beetles can be fatal to your trees. Recently, Interior Live Oaks have been plagued by several species of borer. Additionally, western bark beetles and red turpentine beetles are always a threat to weakened or stressed Pine species. Recommendations include trunk sprays with astro as a preventative measure for these boring insects. Remember, the best defense against pests and disease problems is a healthy landscape. With Kemper’s bio stimulant and mycorrhizae fertilization program you can be ensured your plants and trees have everything they need to be in the best health possible. The best course of action is a visit by a Kemper Tree Care certified arborist. We can identify problems before they become acute. Kemper Tree Care can develop a maintenance plan for your property and take your worries away! And as always, youcan trust Kemper Tree Care, we love your trees!! |
